　　Mr. Marc Porat has founded and led technology and materials companies since 1983. In the past six years, he focused on climate change and the built environment. He is the Founder & CEO of CalStar Cement, developer and manufacturer of clean cement and cement products.

　Mr. Porat is also the Chairman and start-up CEO of Serious Materials. The company has been recognized recently by Fortune and Time magazines as one of the most promising growth companies in the cleantech sector. The company has reinvented drywall which emits 90% less embodied energy and carbon than conventional drywall. Its “Quiet” brand soundproof products enable high-density construction in urban environments. Serious is now developing a very high-R value window.
